Physical Therapist
to join our dynamic outpatient team in beautiful
Portland, ME . This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading orthopaedic specialists and provide personalized, evidence-based care that truly makes a difference in patients lives.
About the Role As a Physical Therapist at Orthopaedic Associates of Maine, youll work closely with physicians to develop and deliver customized treatment plans that help patients regain function, mobility, and confidence. Youll treat a wide range of orthopaedic conditions
from post-surgical rehabilitation to preventative care
using advanced techniques, hands-on therapy, and tailored exercise programs. Youll have the time, tools, and team support to focus on what matters most: your patients recovery and long-term wellness.
What Youll Do Evaluate, plan, and implement physical rehabilitation programs for patients referred by our physicians. Design individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. Collaborate closely with physicians and other clinicians to ensure continuity and quality of care. Use manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to reduce pain, prevent injury, and promote healthy movement. Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold the highest professional and ethical standards.
What You Bring Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Current Maine PT license and BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Outpatient orthopaedic experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills A compassionate, patient-centered approach and a commitment to excellence
