Senior IT Network Security Engineer

Qualifications
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable WAN solutions to ensure reliable business connectivity across multiple sites.
Administer and optimize WAN technologies such as MPLS, SD-WAN, and VPNs to enhance network performance and security.
Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize complex routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) for efficient data flow.
Coordinate with ISPs and service providers to manage WAN circuit provisioning, maintenance, and incident resolution.
Ensure robust network security, including encryption, firewalls, and access control measures across WAN infrastructure.
Lead WAN-related projects (migrations, upgrades, integrations), and provide advanced support for escalated incidents and disruptions.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience in enterprise WAN administration.
Strong expertise in WAN technologies such as MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN, along with deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS).
Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, firewalls, WAN optimizers) and enterprise-grade networking equipment (e.g., Cisco infrastructure).
Proficiency with network monitoring tools and solid troubleshooting and analytical skills to ensure optimal network performance.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching or Enterprise), or equivalent, are highly preferred.
Knowledge of network automation tools (Python, Ansible) and experience with network segmentation and zero-trust architecture principles.
Strong understanding of IT/Cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, including malware detection, intrusion prevention, and familiarity with ITIL processes.
