Precast Project Engineer – Civil/Structural
Shape the future of concrete design and mentor the next generation of precast engineers. Fisher Associates is seeking a Precast Project Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and guide our team in designing and delivering advanced precast and prestressed concrete structures.
What You’ll Do
Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost‑effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.
Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.
Support cost estimation for materials.
Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast‑prestressed field.
Promote, utilize, and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
What You’ll Bring
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
10+ years of experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures, and pump stations).
Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE‑7, AASHTO; IBC codes a plus.
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and RISA 3D.

Salary $100,000 – $150,000 annually, plus signing bonus. Salary may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors.
