Precast Project Engineer – Shape the Future of Concrete Design and Mentor the Next Generation

Join Fisher Associates as a Precast Project Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) guiding the design and delivery of advanced precast and prestressed concrete structures. In this key role you’ll mentor junior engineers, ensure design excellence, and drive innovation across diverse civil and structural projects. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll develop efficient, sustainable, and code‑compliant precast solutions that shape the built environment. What You’ll Do As a Precast Project Engineer

Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently. Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost‑effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs. Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions. Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards. Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards. Support cost estimation for materials. Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast‑prestressed field. Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. Mentor junior staff and support their technical development. What You’ll Bring, Your Expertise as a Precast Project Engineer

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred. 10+ years of experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations). Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE‑7, AASHTO. Familiarity with IBC codes a plus. Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it. Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D. $100,000-$150,000, plus signing bonus. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promise any specific pay for any specific employee.
