What You’ll Do As a Precast Project Engineer
Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently. Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs. Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions. Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards. Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards. Support cost estimation for materials. Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast-prestressed field. Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. Mentor junior staff and support their technical development. Qualifications
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations). Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO; familiarity with IBC codes a plus. Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it. Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills; ability to own projects and work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
