Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full-service 318-bed acute-care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.
The Clinical Technician (Constant Patient Observer) maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This non-certified role observes patients, provides basic nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome-oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
Provides patient observation and reports observations to the RN
Maintains patient safety.
Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures.
Assists/feeds patients.
Answers call lights promptly.
Takes and records vital signs.
Turns, moves lifts, ambulates and transports patient by wheelchair, stretcher or bed as needed within the hospital or for discharge.

Minimum Education and Experience:
High school graduate or GED
Patient care experience preferred
Salary Range:
Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 25.92/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
