Highspring has been engaged with a trusted Private Equity client, and they are in search of an Interim Chief Financial Officer for their $500M+ Restaurant business. This is a hands‑on interim CFO role, where our interim will have responsibilities over Finance, Accounting, IT & Risk Management. This role would require weekly travel to Orlando, Florida. Key Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to shape and execute the company’s growth strategy, including organic expansion, and potential acquisitions. Serve as a strategic thought partner in operational decision‑making, offering financial and analytical perspectives on menu pricing, labor optimization, and unit economics. Lead long‑term financial planning, modeling, and scenario analysis to inform strategic initiatives. Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP. Develop performance dashboards and KPI tracking to drive accountability across restaurant operations. Lead the monthly and quarterly business review process, identifying opportunities for margin improvement and cost efficiencies. Operational Finance

Partner with Operations to enhance unit‑level profitability through improved food and labor cost management, inventory control, and procurement initiatives. Implement financial systems, tools, and reporting processes that improve visibility and decision support across the organization. Oversee capital planning and ROI analysis for new store openings, remodels, and technology investments. Manage relationships with banks, lenders, auditors, and investors. Optimize capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow to support growth while maintaining financial stability. Oversee insurance, risk management, and internal controls to safeguard company assets. Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing Finance and Accounting organization that is proactive, analytical, and service‑oriented. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Serve as a mentor and business partner to operations, HR, supply chain, and development leaders. Qualifications

Track record of success as a Hands‑on, Corporate (not Divisional) CFO for PE‑owned businesses with revenues of $500M+ in restaurants or multi‑unit retail, restaurants, or consumer services. Strong understanding of complex capital structures Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Prior experience working with private equity backed companies with direct line of communication to the sponsor. Willingness to travel to Orlando weekly (3 days a week) CPA and/or MBA preferred. Available immediately and willing to commit to a 3‑6 month engagement. Seniority level
