ASSOCIATE TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST (BUREAU OF HUMAN RESOURCES) Job Summary

Assist and support talent acquisition functions, operations, and activities. Engage in end-to-end recruiting processes and special projects to support staff in order to drive better talent acquisition programs and execution. Utilize various applicant selection tools, collect data, and coordinate efforts with all areas of the Bureau/Department to ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures. Document correspondences, emails, and communications to inform and facilitate talent acquisition activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher OR

Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate AND

Four (4) years of staffing, recruitment, talent acquisition, or directly related experience OR

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience screening candidate resumes and supporting pre-employment screening processes is preferred.

Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is preferred.

Experience working within a government human resources department with a focus on Talent Acquisition is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to leverage technology to optimize team and individual performance.

Skill in adapting to changes in processes and remaining flexible and open to new ideas.

Skill in drafting job postings and validating prescreening content for County applicants.

Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with others.

Ability to analyze and comprehend Human Resources and recruitment-based data and review work products in detail so they are clear, concise, and free of errors.

Ability to provide basic insight, advice and expertise to other professionals, management, and external contacts in an assigned functional area.

Ability to operate as a team player and communicate basic or narrow-defined knowledge to team members and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of basic and standard principles and practices for a specialized area of focus.

Physical Requirements Sedentary work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Credentialing for International Degrees

Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.
