Senior Property Accountant
Compensation: $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Location: New Jersey (Coda Search staffing offices)
This is an excellent opportunity with a highly reputable commercial real estate firm that owns and operates a variety of commercial assets including office buildings, retail spaces and shopping centers. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of commercial properties, preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, CAM reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, and leading the annual audit.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
Lead month-end close overseeing balance sheet/P&L reconciliations and monthly accruals
Manage the general ledger and prepare adjusting entries
Review cash applications for approval
Prepare CAM reconciliations
Prepare budgets and forecasts for each entity
Oversee the annual audit
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
6+ years of real estate or construction accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PIVOTs)
Prior experience with CAM reconciliations
