Position Our partner is seeking an
experienced Insurance Coverage Associate (3–7 years)
to join its
Insurance Defense team in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida . This position involves drafting coverage opinions and position letters, as well as supporting coverage litigation in both state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will bring strong research and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to contribute effectively within a team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general liability and third-party construction defense matters independently from inception through resolution
Draft high-quality motions, pleadings, and discovery documents
Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
Maintain regular communication with clients, offering updates and strategic guidance
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters and contribute to case strategy
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Florida
3–7 years of litigation experience with a strong understanding of case management (experience in insurance coverage preferred)
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Proven ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
