Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Architect to design and govern our cloud framework. This role is central to developing our cloud architectures, standards, and policies. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, translating requirements into secure, scalable, and cost‑effective multi/hybrid cloud solutions that our engineering teams can implement. You will also provide guidance and augment the skills of our cloud engineers. A key focus will be on advancing our Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) practices and ensuring seamless interoperability between our on‑premises infrastructure and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design scalable, resilient, secure, and cost‑optimized cloud solutions aligned with business requirements and cybersecurity policies.

Develop and document architectural designs, cloud governance frameworks, standards, and implementation guides using tools like Microsoft Visio.

Assess applications for cloud suitability and create migration roadmaps.

Implement disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies that meet compliance and business continuity (RTO/RPO) objectives.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

Develop and manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Azure ARM, or Pulumi.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.

Automate configuration management with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Security, Compliance & Governance

Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, RBAC, NSG, Key Vault, encryption, Defender for Cloud).

Apply knowledge of zero‑trust architectures and security frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).

Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, Chronicle Security) for security monitoring and incident response.

Performance & Cost Optimization (FinOps)

Optimize cloud spend and resource utilization using Azure Advisor, Cost Management, and FinOps principles.

Monitor performance and availability with Azure Monitor and SolarWinds.

Implement auto‑scaling, caching, and load balancing for optimal workload performance.

Networking & Hybrid Connectivity

Design and configure cloud networking, including vNet, Hub & Spoke, Peering, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, VPN, and ExpressRoute.

Optimize content delivery using CDNs like Azure Frontdoor, Cloudflare, or Akamai.

Required Qualifications & Experience

4‑6 Years of deep, hands‑on experience with AWS and Cloud Networking.

2‑3 Years of experience with Google GCP.

Experience with Cloud Security frameworks and tools.

Experience with Microsoft Visio for technical documentation.

1‑2 Years of experience with Cloud FinOps and cost management.

Proficiency in the Azure Cloud Platform is a must. Primary architect focus: Compute (VMs, Scale‑Sets), Storage (Blob, Files, Data Lake), Data Analytics (Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks), Databases (SQL DB, Cosmos DB), Serverless (Functions, App Services, Logic Apps), Containerization (AKS, Kubernetes, Docker).

Proven ability to design and document enterprise‑scale cloud architectures and governance models.

Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.

Certification (Strongly Preferred)

Current Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

Personal Attributes

Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working across teams (Network, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Finance).

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑friendly language.

A proactive troubleshooter adept at using cloud‑native tools (Azure Monitor, Network Watcher) for root cause analysis.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills for technical discussions, cloud strategy planning, and decision‑making.
