Job Description

Note: This is a Senior-Level Cloud Architect role.

A current Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is strongly preferred. Please include certification credentials with submissions.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, standardize, and implement scalable cloud architectures and governance frameworks across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to assess requirements and develop multi/hybrid cloud solutions.

The candidate should have solid on-premises infrastructure knowledge to support hybrid environments and guide engineering teams in implementing cloud solutions. The role also involves enhancing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation practices.

Strong understanding of:

Cloud platforms, frameworks, governance, and best practices

Core Responsibilities

Design scalable, resilient, cost-optimized, and secure cloud solutions aligned with business and cybersecurity standards.

Assess application readiness for cloud migration and develop migration roadmaps.

Document architectural designs, governance frameworks, standards, and implementation guides using Microsoft Visio.

Deep knowledge of:

Serverless:

Functions, Web Apps, Logic Apps, App Services

Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies aligned with compliance (RTO/RPO).

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation:

Hands-on experience with Terraform, Azure ARM, or Pulumi for provisioning.

Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.

Automate configuration management with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Security & Compliance:

Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, RBAC, WAF, NSG, ASG, Key Vault, encryption, Defender for Cloud).

Familiarity with Zero-Trust architectures and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).

Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Chronicle Security).

Performance Optimization & Cost Management:

Apply FinOps principles for cost optimization using Azure Advisor and Cost Management tools.

Monitor health and performance with Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Health, or SolarWinds.

Implement auto-scaling, caching, and load balancing strategies.

Deep understanding of vNet design, Hub & Spoke, Peering, Load Balancers, Traffic Manager, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and hybrid networking.

Experience optimizing CDNs (Front Door, Cloudflare, Akamai).

Troubleshooting & Support:

Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure and networking issues.

Use native monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Network Watcher for root cause analysis.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Partner with Network, Server, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Finance, and Procurement teams.

Translate complex cloud concepts into business-friendly language.

Contribute to cloud strategy planning and technical decision-making.
