Executive Team Leader Specialty Sales (Assistant Manager Merchandising and Service) Location: North Saint Paul, MN

Pay range: $60,000.00 – $120,000.00 (based on experience)

Overview Target is a leading retailer that values guest experience, sales performance, and team leadership. The Executive Team Leader specialty sales role drives store sales, leads a high‑performing consultant team, and delivers memorable guest interactions across apparel, accessories, beauty, and electronics.

Key Responsibilities

Drive total store sales and contribute to profitability.

Create a guest‑obsessed culture and deliver on store sales goals.

Manage schedules to align with guest traffic and business needs.

Plan merchandising and pricing workload, including transitions, promotions, and sampling.

Analyze competition and leverage guest insights to drive business and position Target as the destination of choice.

Recruit, hire, and develop a consult‑focused sales force.

Lead back‑room processes, organization, layout, and replenishment to ensure product availability.

Deliver inspiring visual moments across apparel, beauty, electronics, and seasonally relevant areas.

Maintain fitting rooms as an extension of the sales floor and ensure a welcoming guest experience.

Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational change.

Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan, and recruit for long‑term and short‑term needs.

Coach and develop team members and leaders to elevate skills and expertise.

Onboard, learn, and develop consultants to close product knowledge and skill gaps.

Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.

Deliver service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.

Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

Address store needs, including emergency and regulatory visits.

Follow all safe and secure training and processes.

Adapt to evolving store trends and business needs.

Qualifications

4‑year degree or equivalent experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong business acumen and financial analysis ability.

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and managing conflict.

Lead and hold others accountable, with a collaborative leadership style.

Relate well with all levels of the organization.

Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.

Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.

Accurately handle cash register operations and handling merchandise up to 40 pounds.

Climb up and down ladders and adhere to inventory safety standards.

Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular attendance.
