Position Overview The Senior SharePoint Developer participates in the full project lifecycle to deliver high‑quality application solutions for our clients, practice teams, and administrative groups. The role may be filled remotely or at any of our locations.

Responsibilities

Defines, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs to recommend technology solutions.

Gathers requirements and guides end users to effective solutions.

Recommends modifications and enhancements to the firm’s web and portal applications.

Maintains, upgrades, and develops the firm’s web and portal applications.

Leads technical troubleshooting for web and portal applications and integrated systems.

Builds enterprise‑level solutions within Office365 and Azure environments, including form creation, workflow customization, process automation, report development, dashboard creation, and system configuration.

Designs and develops Office 365 applications and solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint Online).

Researches problems, isolates root causes, and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Collaborates with staff to develop and maintain standard practices and metrics related to site design, programming, and business systems analysis.

Shares knowledge with co‑workers and ensures appropriate knowledge transfer for coverage purposes.

Provides quality assurance, testing, and documentation for web and portal applications.

Performs basic project management functions, including scoping, scheduling, resource recommendations, and skill alignment.

Meets with vendors to discuss software product issues and to stay current on software technology developments.

Coordinates with Systems and Applications personnel on deployment issues related to web and portal applications.

Responds to user issues routed by the Help Desk Analysts for assigned applications.

Assists Help Desk Analysts and firm users after normal business hours, including periodic pager duty rotation.

Undertakes other duties as assigned by supervisor and senior management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required.

Eight (8) years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional services environment.

Five (5) years of experience in web development, including JavaScript, front‑end frameworks (React, Angular), HTML5, CSS, and JSON; .NET or equivalent scripting language for cloud‑based applications.

Strong understanding of building Office 365‑connected solutions, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.

Experience with Microsoft Graph API data access.

Experience with Microsoft Teams development (bots, tabs, connectors, calling/meeting APIs).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization.

Experience with M365 compliance and security, including DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention labels, and policies.

Microsoft 365 Developer Associate certification is a plus.

Experience building web parts, apps, page layouts, and content types using the O365 API and SharePoint Framework.

Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, TFS, and source control tools.

Solid understanding of relational database development and SQL experience.

Experience with Azure functions, Azure logic apps, and Azure SQL DB.

Experience applying software development lifecycle practices, including analysis, design, configuration, development, and unit testing using Microsoft technologies.

High‑level understanding of Active Directory, AD security, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewall, and SMTP.

PowerShell experience.

Strong project management, business analysis, user interface design, and database design skills.

Legal practice or process experience is a plus.

Ability to work independently to analyze, evaluate, and resolve large enterprise application production issues.

Maryland: $107,000 – $163,000

Minnesota: $111,000 – $183,000

Jersey City, NJ: $120,000 – $218,000

New York: $103,000 – $223,000

Vermont: $109,000 – $210,000

Washington: $107,000 – $204,000

Washington, D.C.: $143,000 – $210,000
