Senior SharePoint Developer – Husch Blackwell LLP
Overview Husch Blackwell is a full‑service litigation, business law firm with multiple U.S. locations. The firm seeks a motivated, experienced SharePoint developer who can build, maintain, and enhance web and portal applications for clients, practice teams, and administrative groups.
Responsibilities
Define, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs relating to technology solutions.
Gather requirements and guide end users to a mutually beneficial solution for the firm and clients.
Recommend modifications, enhancements, replacements, and other improvements to the firm’s web and portal applications.
Provide primary maintenance, upgrading, and development for the firm’s web and portal applications.
Act as technical lead for troubleshooting relating to the firm’s web and portal applications and related integrated applications.
Build enterprise‑level solutions within Office 365 and Azure environments, including form creation, workflow customization, process automation, report development, dashboard creation, and system configuration.
Design and develop Office 365 applications and solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint Online).
Perform research to problems, separating the symptoms from the actual cause, and identify opportunities to correct the situation.
Work with other staff to develop and maintain standard practices and metrics related to site design, programming, and business system analysis.
Share knowledge with co‑workers and ensure appropriate knowledge transfer for coverage purposes.
Provide quality assurance, testing, and documentation for web and portal applications.
Provide basic project management functions for projects and activities including project scoping, task scheduling, resource recommendations, and skill alignment.
Meet with vendors to discuss software product issues and maintain current knowledge on the latest developments in software technology.
Coordinate with Systems and Applications personnel on issues related to deployment of the firm’s web and portal applications.
Respond to user issues routed by the Help Desk Analysts that relate to assigned applications and provide feedback to Help Desk Analysts regarding solutions to identified issues.
Assist Help Desk Analysts and firm users after normal business hours, including periodic pager duty rotation.
Other duties as coordinated or assigned from time to time by the supervisor, Associate Director of Application Development & Business Analysis, Senior Director Knowledge Management, CIO or other department management personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or combination of education and work experience.
8+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years in web development (JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML5, CSS, JSON).
Experience building Office 365‑connected solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint Online).
Experience with Microsoft Graph API and Microsoft Teams development (bots, tabs, connectors, calling/meeting APIs).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization.
Experience with M365 compliance and security (DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention policies).
Microsoft 365 Developer Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate Foundation certification is a plus.
Experience building web parts, apps, page layouts, and content types using the O365 API and SharePoint Framework.
Experience with Azure functions, Azure logic apps, Azure SQL DB, and Visual Studio/ Azure DevOps, Git, TFS or similar source control.
Solid understanding of relational database development and SQL experience.
Experience with PowerShell, Power BI, and standard project management methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
