Designer (Sleepwear & Loungewear)
Rose International is seeking a Designer for its Manhattan, NY office. The role is temporary, full-time for approximately 3 months, with hybrid work arrangements (3 days in office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Shift is 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. Hourly rate ranges from $34.00 to $38.00.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Design or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Experience & Knowledge
2-3 years of design experience in sleepwear and loungewear.
Proficiency in CAD illustration.
Experience creating tech packs with knowledge of sleep construction, lounge construction, and fully fashioned techniques.
Centric knowledge and efficiency.
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc).
Responsibilities
Assists in creating product designs and achieving the style, appearance, and fit characteristics of new products and improvements in existing products.
Often assigned tasks rather than full responsibility for a product line.
Performs some level of original concept development.
Identifies key color, fabric, prints, patterns, and materials.
Shops retail stores for trend inspiration.
Partners closely with Technical Design to ensure correct fit, function, and look of prototypes.
Reports to a Designer; typically no direct reports.
