Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture between two industry leaders with a clear vision for automotive’s next chapter. From operating systems to zonal controllers to cloud and connectivity solutions, we’re addressing the challenges of electric vehicles through technology that will set the standards for software‑defined vehicles around the world. The position is based in our Palo Alto, California office and reports directly to the Sr. Lead IT & VWG Interface.
Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented IT Requirements Manager to lead the definition, coordination, and implementation of IT requirements and architecture between RV Tech and the VW Group. This strategic role is pivotal in ensuring seamless data exchange, compliance, and alignment across both organizations.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis – Capture and define IT requirements for the integration between RV Tech and VW Group systems; align requirements across PMT and VW Group stakeholders, including individual brands.
Architecture & Concept Design – Design and document IT architecture and data exchange concepts between RV Tech and VW Group; ensure architectural solutions meet business needs, technical standards, and compliance requirements.
Project Management – Lead the roll‑out of software solutions between RV Tech and VW Group; coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables in alignment with vehicle project milestones.
Centralized Requirements Definition – Define IT requirements for tools and solutions used by RV Tech and VW Group; specify network access requirements in compliance with TISAX standards.
Implementation & Coordination – Plan, request, and coordinate the implementation of essential IT requirements across both organizations; manage escalations and resolve issues between PMT and VW Group, including its brands.
Stakeholder Communication & Onboarding – Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of VW Group users in the RV Tech environment and vice versa; communicate with service providers to resolve onboarding/offboarding issues.
Documentation & Compliance – Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT architecture and requirement specifications; ensure all solutions comply with internal policies and external regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Computer Science or a related field.
3‑5+ years of experience in the software industry, with a focus on IT architecture and requirements management.
Strong expertise in designing IT architectures and managing cross‑organizational requirements.
Proven experience in project management and stakeholder coordination.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across international teams and complex organizational structures.
Pay Disclosure Base salary of $135,800 – $169,800 annually (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
