The Team Black & Veatch’s Fuels & Natural Resources sector focuses on global investors and operators, delivering consulting, design, FEED, full engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and commissioning of LNG facilities, floating LNG, gas processing and NGL fractionation, gasification, hydrogen and ammonia/fertilizers. Proprietary PRICO® technologies enable tailored solutions across the natural gas, midstream, wholesale markets, power generation and utility segments.
The Opportunity As a
Senior Process Engineer
with the Gas Processes Team you will:
Function as a technical specialist and, where appropriate, manage or administer responsibilities for a group and project(s).
Lead process engineering design of LNG, carbon capture, hydrogen, fertilizers (ammonia, urea, etc.), gasification, fermentation, sulfur recovery, gas treatment, biofuels, syngas processing and NGL recovery and fractionation.
Oversee implementation of solutions through the project lifecycle: feasibility, FEED stages, FEED, detailed design, EPC and commissioning.
Mentor junior engineers and review their work.
Location: Overland Park, KS (Kansas City) or Houston, TX. Relocation required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies.
Ensure compliance with B&V quality program, promote continuous improvement and risk management.
Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple mega projects, perform advanced calculations and manage budgets, schedules and quality.
Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects and define project schedules.
Communicate client interests and drivers, support business development and pursue activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Experience with PRO II, Promax, Protreat, HYSYS and similar process simulation packages.
Strong written and verbal communication, results orientation, planning, delegation and team building.
Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Work Environment/Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
Salary Plan Salary range includes $90,000.00 – $120,000.00. Salary grades are aligned to internal order.
