Tax Associate

to join our growing team in Lisle, IL. This individual will lead the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns, support proactive tax planning initiatives, and act as a trusted technical resource for both advisors and clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys working in a collaborative, client-centric environment. This role is primarily in-office (~80%) with opportunities for professional growth. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, and LLC tax returns. Provide tax planning and projections, including estimated payments. Research and apply federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance. Respond to IRS and state/local tax notices, audits, and inquiries. Collaborate with financial advisors and clients on tax-related questions and planning. Maintain organized tax records, supporting documentation, and work papers. Stay up to date with evolving tax legislation and regulatory changes. Contribute to process improvements and internal quality reviews. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns. Enrolled Agent (EA) license or valid ETIN (or ability to obtain). Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws. Proficiency in leading tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax, Drake). Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly. Willingness to work in-office approximately 80% of the time (Lisle, IL). Preferred Qualifications

Experience in or with wealth management or financial advisory firms. Familiarity with estate, gifting, and business structuring strategies. Audit or tax controversy experience. What We Offer
