Finance Manager, R&D/Medical Affairs
BD (Tissuemed Ltd) invites a Finance Manager to partner with R&D and Medical Affairs for the Specimen Management business unit. Job Description Summary
BD is a global medical technology leader. This role supports financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end close for the Specimen Management R&D and Medical Affairs functions. Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to R&D and Medical Affairs leadership, translating financial data into strategic insights. Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, and Project Management teams. Analyze R&D / Medical Affairs spending to ensure funds are invested effectively. Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for R&D and Medical Affairs functions. Develop accurate, data‑driven financial plans aligned with strategic objectives. Monitor and analyze variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations to close gaps. Deliver monthly financial performance reports, including variance analysis and KPIs. Support cost center owners with timely financial insights and scenario modeling. Manage month‑end close processing for SM U.S., coordinating with shared service center and GBS RTR teams. Ensure accuracy of financial reporting, SOX compliance, and related accounting tasks. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency. Qualifications
B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance required. 3+ years of relevant FP&A, Business Analytics, Controller, or related experience. High proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP. Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to develop relationships with associates from other regions and functions. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven team environment. Willingness to travel occasionally (~5% of time). Preferred Skills
Business Intelligence and BPC experience. Location
USA – Franklin Lakes, NJ (primary work location). Salary Range
$114,500.00 – $189,100.00 USD Annual. Benefits & Commitment
