Role
Robotics Engineer
– Collaborate with the Robotics Engineering Manager, Technical Leaders, and cross‑functional teams to support the vision of the Controls group. Provide insight and ideas on improvements (processes, standards, best practices, and tools) that boost team effectiveness and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Lead robotics projects through three phases: Software Development, Debug, and Install. Software Development – Develop robot programs offline, check reach and interferences, and work with Controls Engineer to develop IO and handshakes. Debug – Initialize robots, load programs and supporting files, work with Controls Engineer for PLC communications, update frames and modify positions, step through programs manually, bring robot up to speed in automatic, and run at rate on the floor for customer acceptance. Install – Travel to customer facility, debug, bring line up to speed, and run at rate on customer floor for final acceptance. Perform any additional reasonable tasks as required. Essential Qualifications
Exposure to Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa (preferred). Knowledge of PLC functions. Knowledge of mechanical design. Willingness to learn cycle time analysis and robotic simulation (Roboguide/Robot Studio/Motosim). Exposure to CAD. Able to read electrical drawings. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills. Ability to interpret customer standards. Able to travel 30‑40%. Physical Demands
Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear throughout the job. Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Benefits
