We collaborate with businesses to understand their processes, challenges, and future vision, identifying opportunities for automation with clear ROI justifications. (https://mtlcraftautomationgroup.com/) Reporting to the Controls Engineering Manager, the Automation Robotics Programmer will be responsible for robot planning, programming, testing, startup, and commissioning of automated systems across various manufacturing industries from start to finish. Responsibilities
Operate in a team environment to meet or exceed customer expectations Participate in project reviews and complete necessary project management documentation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, fulfilling customer expectations Research and stay updated on the latest automation technologies Program Fanuc robots Plan and develop offline robot programs using 3D simulation software Initialize and install robot software Set up robot user frames Verify and refine offline robot path programming, I/O, and logic Test and debug automated systems before customer acceptance, including factory acceptance testing and onsite commissioning Provide robotics training to customer personnel Provide robotic program training to customer personnel Create accurate documentation for automated systems Support customers' automation systems remotely and onsite as needed Identify and develop new sales opportunities by building relationships with existing and potential customers and vendors Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Experience with FANUC robot setup and programming Experience with Material Handling ROBOGUIDE, Welding WeldPRO, Painting PaintPro, CRX Collaborative, and Vision systems Experience with Octopuz 3D robot simulation is a plus Highly motivated team player Detail-oriented Excellent communication and project management skills Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics Ability to translate automation designs into functional equipment Proficient with Microsoft Office Analytical and creative thinking with safety and cost considerations Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various departments Metalcraft of Mayville is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
