VoIP Engineer - Active Secret Clearance
Piper Companies is seeking a VoIP Engineer - Active Secret Clearance to join a leading telecommunications company with a focus on maintaining and modernizing telephony systems, including the migration from legacy TDM platforms to VoIP/SIP-based solutions. The position requires an active Secret clearance and will be onsite 5 days per week in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities Manage and support telephony systems across both legacy TDM and modern VoIP/SIP environments. Drive migration efforts from traditional TDM infrastructure to IP-based telephony platforms. Engage in hands-on lab work and deployment activities to ensure operational readiness. Partner with engineering teams to deliver seamless system integration and performance optimization.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Network or Telephony Engineer supporting enterprise-level voice systems. Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Secret clearance. Strong knowledge of TDM telephony and VoIP/SIP protocols. Practical experience with telephony migrations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. Compliance with DoD 8140 requirements and possession of CompTIA Security+ certification.
Compensation/Benefits Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 annually Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays.
