Director of Client Operations – FinTech & Blockchain
Location: United States – Remote | Reports to: Head of Operations

About Us We are a rapidly scaling FinTech company at the intersection of blockchain and traditional finance, providing institutional‑grade infrastructure for regulated digital asset management. We enable issuance, secondary trading, custody, and compliance for fund managers, institutions, and investors globally. As we enter the growth phase (Series A and beyond), we need a high‑caliber Operations Leader to take ownership of our operational strategy for scaling processes, and enhanced client engagement from conversion to post‑sales success.
The Role Director of Client Operations – oversee and scale all operational workflows, from client onboarding and institutional engagement to compliance execution and cross‑border fund/token issuance. This is not a pure back‑office role – this individual will be client‑facing, helping high‑value customers move seamlessly through onboarding, activation, and platform adoption.
Candidate Profile
Experienced operator who has built and scaled FinTech/financial operations beyond Series A.
Highly front‑facing, capable of navigating institutional client relationships and ensuring top‑tier onboarding and execution.
Process‑driven leader who can optimize workflows, drive automation, and reduce friction across operations.
Strategic thinker who understands the intersection of blockchain, compliance, and finance and can scale infrastructure to support growth.
Able to travel and represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and institutional client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Scaling Operations for Growth
Take ownership of and optimize all operational workflows (client onboarding, token issuance, trade settlements, custody, compliance) to support rapid client acquisition and revenue scaling post Series A and beyond.
Implement automated, scalable processes for fund/token issuance, trade settlements, custody, and compliance workflows.
Ensure seamless cross‑border operations, working with international partners, regulators, and corporate secretarial teams.
Develop SOPs that allow the company to rapidly onboard new clients and expand into new jurisdictions.
Serve as the primary operational liaison for institutional clients, fund managers, and key financial partners throughout the onboarding lifecycle and beyond.
Own and continuously improve the client onboarding journey from an operational perspective, ensuring a white‑glove experience that accelerates platform adoption and builds strong, lasting client relationships.
Work closely with sales and customer success teams to translate client needs into structured, scalable processes.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring they understand the operational and regulatory requirements of using our platform.
Build an onboarding and activation framework that can support institutional clients at scale.
Work with compliance and legal teams to ensure regulatory alignment with MAS, SEC, and other international jurisdictions as the company expands.
Ensure all operational procedures are audit‑ready and meet the highest industry standards.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure that operational workflows, tokenization, and settlements are seamless.
Identify opportunities to automate key operational processes, reducing manual inefficiencies.
Work closely with tech teams to troubleshoot operational issues and ensure a frictionless client experience.
Support data reconciliation and reporting, ensuring financial and operational accuracy.
Partner with the leadership team to drive strategic operational decisions as we expand into new markets.
Track and optimize key operational KPIs, ensuring high efficiency and scalability.
Identify and implement cost‑saving measures, automation opportunities, and process enhancements to improve operational execution.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings, building credibility and expanding our institutional presence.
Front Office & Client Onboarding
Serve as the operational liaison for institutional clients, fund managers, and key financial partners throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Ensure a white‑glove onboarding experience that accelerates platform adoption.
Translate client needs into scalable operational processes in partnership with sales and customer success.
Provide trusted operational and regulatory guidance to institutional clients.
Compliance, Regulatory & Risk Management
Work with compliance and legal teams to ensure regulatory alignment with MAS, SEC, and other jurisdictions.
Maintain audit‑ready operational procedures and industry‑standard compliance workflows.
Identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks across cross‑border client engagements.
Technology & Product Operations
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate operational workflows, tokenization, and settlements.
Identify and automate operational processes to reduce manual inefficiencies.
Troubleshoot operational issues to ensure a frictionless client experience.
Business Growth & Strategic Execution
Partner with the leadership team to drive strategic operational decisions as we expand into new markets.
Track and optimize key operational KPIs to maintain high efficiency and scalability.
Implement cost‑saving measures, automation opportunities, and process enhancements to improve overall operational execution.
Qualifications
7‑10+ years in FinTech operations, fund management, financial services, or blockchain.
Proven track record scaling operations from Series A onward, implementing processes that support rapid growth.
Strong understanding of regulated financial services, fund/token issuance, and settlement processes.
Ability to lead onboarding, institutional engagement, and relationship management.
Strong background in process optimization, automation, and operational strategy.
Familiarity with SEC, MAS, SEC, and international financial regulations.
Experience working with blockchain infrastructure, trading platforms, compliance tools, or financial reconciliation systems.
Willingness to represent the company at events, meet with institutional clients, and travel internationally when needed.
Ability to work cross‑functionally with compliance, finance, tech, and product teams while owning execution.
