Job Description HII’s Mission Technologies Division is seeking a mission-focused

Military Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME)

and Threat Systems Modeler to support the development of high-fidelity modeling and simulation environment at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC‑N), located at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. You will play a key role in enhancing the

Next Generation Threat Systems (NGTS)

software and supporting the

Global Reusable Interface Domain (GRID)

for integration within the

Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) , essential to advanced pilot training, mission rehearsal, and operational test and evaluation efforts.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Build, configure, and test high-fidelity NGTS parametric constructive modeling and simulation (M&S) models of platforms (e.g., fighter aircraft, bombers, AEW, naval ships, submarines, SAMs, ground vehicles) using NGTS graphical user interfaces (GUIs), configuration tools, and development guides/SOPs.

Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and use intelligence databases to accurately model red and blue force systems.

Translate complex intelligence data into realistic, behavior-driven models within NGTS to reflect real-world system performance and threat behavior.

Conduct threat system modeling for various domains including radars, sensors (EO/IR, RWR, IRST), weapons (seekers, missile guidance), and countermeasures (jammers).

Support verification and validation (V&V) efforts by developing test plans, executing simulations, and documenting test methodology, procedures, and results.

Troubleshoot and analyze anomalies in simulation performance; identify root causes and work with software developers to resolve technical issues.

Contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of future simulation capabilities, system integrations, and enhancements.

Work closely with configuration managers and simulator engineers to manage changes, document processes, and ensure system consistency.
