Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Facilities, Physical Plant, and Power Plant/Engineering at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital (780,000 sq ft) and other satellite properties. The primary responsibilities include facilities maintenance, physical plant, power plant, code compliance, planning, design, construction, finance, personnel management, and administration. Key Responsibilities: Manage operations of maintenance, engineering, construction, safety, waste, and emergency management. Develop and oversee comprehensive facility management programs. Coordinate and approve architectural and engineering standards for projects. Manage budgeting, planning, estimating, bidding, and construction projects. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, including OSHA, The Joint Commission, NYS regulations, and others. Maintain permits, licenses, and certificates for hospital facilities. Supervise staff, including general maintenance and boiler operators. Coordinate new hospital construction projects and renovations. Oversee operation and maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, medical gas, emergency power, fire protection, and water systems. Implement and manage safety and security systems. Qualifications: High School Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting. Five years of facilities management experience, including design, maintenance, and operation of building systems. Knowledge of federal, state, local codes, and Joint Commission standards. Progressive leadership experience (minimum 3 years preferred). Supervisory experience in construction, maintenance, and safety. Strong organizational, communication, project management, and cost control skills. Additional Requirements: Knowledge of applicable codes (ADA, IBC, NFPA, OSHA, etc.). Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to read financial reports and manage budgets. High ethical standards and confidentiality. Essential Functions: Align facility operations with Guthrie's mission, vision, and values. Manage daily operations of maintenance, engineering, safety, and emergency services. Oversee project planning, design, and construction activities. Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met. Supervise staff and coordinate with external contractors and authorities.
