Company Overview
Our client is a technology-driven financial services organization focused on streamlining complex processes through innovation, automation, and exceptional customer experience. They partner with law firms, medical providers, and financial institutions to deliver efficient, data-powered solutions that help clients accelerate outcomes and simplify operations. With a strong national footprint and a collaborative technology culture, the company continues to scale rapidly and invest heavily in digital transformation. Position Overview
The Technical .net Product Owner serves as the key liaison between business strategy and software engineering execution. This highly technical role requires a background in software development, solution architecture, or systems analysis, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables. Unlike a traditional project manager, this position is deeply hands-on—engaging directly with developers, managing sprint planning, and ensuring alignment between the product roadmap and technical feasibility. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing Agile ceremonies, documenting requirements, and partnering across Product, Engineering, and QA to ensure timely delivery of quality releases. Key Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business goals with technical constraints. Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily standups for software and QA teams. Translate business requirements into user stories with detailed acceptance criteria. Partner with engineering teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with architectural standards. Coordinate discovery, estimation, and delivery of technical initiatives. Track engineering velocity, sprint completion, and release metrics to ensure predictable delivery. Validate completed user stories against acceptance criteria and oversee QA testing cycles. Maintain sprint documentation, progress tracking, and cross-functional communication. Drive continuous improvement in Agile processes and team collaboration. Support release planning and deployment readiness, ensuring stable and secure product rollouts. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Agile software development, engineering, or technical product ownership. Deep understanding of software architectures, APIs, and system integrations. Proven ability to manage sprints, backlogs, and cross-functional delivery using Jira or similar tools. Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated experience coordinating distributed or offshore engineering teams. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving outcomes. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in software engineering with technologies such as .NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, and React or Angular. Familiarity with Figma, Lucidchart, or other UI / UX and process design tools. Experience supporting large-scale Agile delivery in a hybrid or multi-team environment. CSPO or similar Agile Product Owner certification. This role bridges the gap between technology and business. The Technical Product Owner ensures that what’s being built by engineers aligns perfectly with what the business needs, balancing priorities, managing sprints, and keeping everything on track. Think of it as the “translator” between product vision and technical reality—someone who makes sure great ideas become great software. Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
