Strategic Stop Loss Sourcing Manager – Crumdale Specialty
External stop loss subject matter expert responsible for developing relationships with carrier partners and driving sales and renewals through negotiation.
Responsibilities
Develop strong stop loss carrier partnerships and identify new partners.
Master Crumdale’s cost containment programs and their impact on health plan pricing.
Work closely with the Pricing team to develop proper quote requests and processes to maximize impact.
Negotiate proposals to secure the best possible quotes.
Help drive more stop loss proposals to go firm and final, ultimately close.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all external stop loss related items.
Communicate consistently across the Pricing and Sales teams and build trust and alignment across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military service at E4 or higher.
3+ years of experience in stop loss/medical reinsurance sales.
5+ years of experience in the stop loss/medical reinsurance employer‑sponsored self‑insured market.
Self‑funded and carveout experience, strongly preferred.
Proficiency in using Salesforce for effective customer relationship management.
Strong understanding of underwriting profitability and loss principles within employer‑sponsored group health benefits, specifically stop loss and medical/Rx reinsurance.
Must possess strong negotiating skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
