Field Service Engineer - VIDAR (EMD)

Position Summary Provide technical installation and commissioning support to clients and service teams nationally with regard to smart motor equipment and application support. Responsibilities include rotating equipment alignment, on‑site start‑up, troubleshooting, assembly of smart motors, and adherence to safety, quality, and company policies.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide technical installation and commissioning support for smart motor equipment and application support.
Complete rotating equipment alignment to nominated tolerances using dial indicators or laser equipment.
Provide on‑site start‑up services and troubleshooting to customers within the United States and document all procedures and recommendations and provide reports.
Demonstrate an ability to fault find and self‑manage to avoid unnecessary breakage or lost time through incorrect installation techniques.
Assist with assembly of smart motors and associated equipment including manufacturing and fabricating along with the repair of modifications associated with smart motor equipment.
Maintain tools and equipment in operating condition and advise supervisor of deficiencies.
Contribute to a positive safety culture throughout the business by following safety processes, policies and legislation along with support for new initiatives.
Position Requirements
Electrical Engineering Diploma or higher desirable.
Trade certificate in Electrical or electronics desirable.
Restricted Electrical License desirable or 4 years experience.
Advanced electrical trouble‑shooting capability.
Capable to read & interpret both schematics and Piping and Instrumentation diagrams.
Experienced with process & motor control methodologies.
Minimum 4 years practical experience and knowledge with various motor types.
Preventative Maintenance & Reliability experience desirable.
Strong English language skills both verbal and written.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Understand and implement quality principles.
Engagement in modern safety principles.
Professional appearance and approach.
Availability to travel to support planned business growth.
