Data Analysis and Battery Testing Electrical Engineer
to support the US Navy in Crane, IN. Responsibilities
Support airborne lot testing and space applications, including programming files and assisting with vibration testing Become proficient in battery test methods, including monitoring points, switching, circuit protections, wattage management, and time correlation Apply practical physicist application focus to engineering tasks, avoiding theoretical approaches Conduct Big Data analysis to obtain predictive analysis, identify indicators of known and emerging failure modes, and better predict end-of-life characteristics of lithium-ion aircraft and space cells/batteries, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of various battery chemistries Assist other analysts in utilizing analytic platforms as needed Present findings, approaches, and processes to team members Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 2 or more years of experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 0 years of experience Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel; able to work independently and as part of a team Interim Secret clearance required to start, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the process US Citizenship DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in LabView, MatLab, and C++ Prior experience supporting DoD and/or NSWC Crane Strong Computer Science skills to develop and maintain data pipelines using Power BI, R, Python, SQL, etc., and implement quality control checks Experience with GitHub and Microsoft DevOps for version control of code Ability to apply practical physicist and electrical engineering skills to testing tasks
