Inspect parts visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and customer requirements. Utilize precision measuring equipment and techniques, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Request N.D.T. evaluations as necessary. Apply statistical sampling plans and complete/verify inspection reports, including SPC charts, first article reports, and defective material and test reports. Complete data processing move transactions as required. Communicate daily activities and pass relevant information to the next shift. Read blueprints and use gages such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, threat gages, height gages, and other measurement tools. Perform other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required; participate in cross-training or development plans. Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; two years related experience or training, or an equivalent combination. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret English documents and to communicate clearly with managers, supervisors and coworkers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, rates, ratios, percents, and interpret charts/graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow instructions and solve standard problems. Computer Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing software (Syteline) preferred. Work Environment and Benefits
Work hours: 5 days, 8 hours per day, with overtime and weekends as needed. Physical demands: Standing, walking, manual dexterity, and vision requirements as described; reasonable accommodations available.
