Overview
At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers, an electric zero-emission range of 200 km and an extended hybrid range of 400 km. Heart is targeting type certification of the ES-30 by the end of the decade. Responsibilities
As a Flight Dynamics Engineer on the Flight Performance and Simulation team, you will develop, analyze, and verify aircraft loads and dynamics of our clean sheet hybrid-electric aircraft. Qualifications
Senior Dynamics Engineer: 5+ years professional experience in aircraft loads and aeroelasticity, with proficiency in HyperMesh or similar FEA tools and aeroelastic solver tools. Experience in CAD design tools such as Siemens NX, and ability to set up simulations from mechanical design data. Strong software development knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language. Staff Dynamics Engineer: 8+ years professional experience in aircraft loads and aeroelasticity, with proficiency in HyperMesh or similar FEA tools and aeroelastic solver tools. Experience in CAD design tools such as Siemens NX, and ability to set up simulations from mechanical design data. Strong software development knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language. Nice to Have
Foundation in aerodynamics, rigid body dynamics, and the principles of vibration. Experience developing software in a team environment (including version control and CI/CD). Experience building optimization pipelines that integrate disparate workflows and tools. Familiarity with environmental qualification testing standards like DO-160G. Experience with Composite Structures. Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry. Education
Bachelor's or above in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar. Base Pay
$140,000 — $216,000 USD Work Authorization / EEO
