Serve With Passion Innovate Relentlessly Engage With Integrity Build Community Be Accountable The Apprentice Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and adjust mechanical components. Work is assigned via work orders, and the employee must determine the extent of repairs needed. Reports To
Shop Manager Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial equipment Interpret work orders and manuals Keep equipment clean, lubricated, and maintained Diagnose faults and malfunctions Adjust equipment and replace defective parts Follow safety and conduct rules Complete required training and assessments Qualifications
Must have ASE certifications Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing Ability to drive a manual transmission truck Work in all weather conditions Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Good manual dexterity Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred Waste industry experience is a plus Completed college or vocational training Experience with routine maintenance required Physical Requirements
Regularly sit, use hands, reach, talk, and hear Occasionally stand and walk Frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds Vision abilities include close, distance, and depth perception Occasional local travel required Additional Details
