About the role: As a Senior Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for performing design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, particularly for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA).
You will report to the Engineering Manager of Loss Of Coolant Accident Safety Analysis and be located at our Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid; you will work a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and assessment of models and correlations for predicting two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena.
Utilize statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and contribute to developing analysis methodologies for design basis accidents.
Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis.
Maintain cognizance of plant-specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting.
Serve as the point of contact for plant-specific LOCA inquiries from internal and external customers.
Mentor newer engineers.
Identify and suggest process improvements.
Participate in project teams, contribute to project schedule generation and cost estimates.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4+ years of applicable Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering:
Nuclear
Mechanical
Chemical
Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations on project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations, etc.
Interest in software programming and code development is a plus, but not required.
