Requisition Number: 25061. Company: Westinghouse Electric Co. Location: Cranberry Township, PA. Hybrid work arrangement: mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week. Responsibilities
As a Senior Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for performing design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA). Development and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena. Use statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and contribute to development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidents. Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis. Cognizance of plant specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting. Point of contact for plant-specific LOCA inquiries from internal and external customers. Mentor newer engineers. Identify and suggest process improvements. Participate on project teams, contribute to project schedule generation and cost estimates. Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of applicable Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis experience. Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical). Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate issues such as project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations, etc. Interest in software programming and code development is a plus.
