Safety Analysis Engineer .
This position is hybrid in nature, requiring 2 days per week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
Authorization to work in the United States is required without the need for Visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor work Visas for this position at this time or in the future.
Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
Your Day-to-Day The engineer will be responsible for performing design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, specifically for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA).
Responsibilities
Development and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena
Use of statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis and/or development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidents
Cognizance of plant-specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting
Point of contact for plant-specific LOCA inquiries from internal and external customers; evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis

Who You Are As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Bachelors in one of the following Engineering Disciplines: Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering
Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Compensation & Benefits We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
