This opportunity entails being responsible for overall field management of HNTB's contract, administration and coordination on projects of a diverse and complex nature. You will monitor activities of assigned staff for conformance with contractual requirements, provide technical leadership for complex or unique assignments, review drawings, specifications, and installation procedures for constructability, and may recommend changes to design. You will represent projects at meetings and conferences, typically managing projects with construction value of $10M or greater and playing a key role in mega project pursuits. What You'll Do

Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assist in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA). Coordinate project activities, establish priorities and staff for jobs. Prepare Summary Inspection Reports of daily activities. Monitor contractor progress against the reviewed progress schedule. Resolve technical field issues and coordinate with Architects and Engineers for timely and accurate responses to RFIs. Oversee project controls including checking contractor controls and coordinating schedules; review constructors schedule. Review submittals for conformance to plans and specifications. Develop strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements. Implement the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA). Lead the development and execution of the project management plan. Supervise and mentor the team to achieve overall project objectives and identify and resolve non-compliant work. Provide interpretation and enforcement of contract plans and specifications. Develop strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements. Confirm change order requests, develop estimates, negotiate costs, and write change orders. Provide cost control on projects and quality control within discipline. Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships and pursuit efforts for mini-mega and mega projects. Work with the project team and marketing resources to prepare proposal and presentation materials. Lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini-mega, and mega projects to clients as well as general presentations within the industry and community. May be responsible for recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of construction staff, including development of plans for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 10 years of construction-related experience. All jurisdictional certificates. What You'll Bring

Winning, contracting, and successfully delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined projects. Identifying and handling risk and change management with guidance from more experienced staff. Leading a team on mid-sized and/or moderately complex projects inside and outside of HNTB using sub-consultants. Using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver mid-sized and/or moderately complex projects. Leading with minimal assistance from the Office Management Team in implementing HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable to the project. Serving as the lead interface with the client on moderately complex projects. Developing successors to work with same client on other work. What We Prefer

Master's degree in Engineering. 12 Years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or NICET Level III. Additional Information
