We're looking for a RF Systems Evaluation and Integration Engineer to test, evaluate, and integrate RF systems for weapons, with a focus on ensuring their performance and effectiveness in real-world environments.
Responsibilities
Integrate, test, and evaluate RF technologies and systems in hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) facilities and field test settings.
Create and implement comprehensive test strategies and methodologies to validate RF system requirements.
Analyze and recommend improvements for RF systems through prototyping and experimentation.
Use anechoic chambers and RF testbeds to characterize system performance and analyze data.
Collaborate with engineers across APL and external partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or another related technical field.
Knowledge of RF systems, signal processing, FPGA design (VHDL), software (C++, Python), or data analysis/visualization (MATLAB).
Familiar with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, waveform generators, oscilloscopes, RF recorders.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team.
Ability to travel up to 10-25% of the time as needed.
On-site presence at the Laurel, Maryland campus; occasional telework may be considered.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance by start date and eventually a Top Secret clearance. Eligibility: U.S. citizenship.

Pay and Benefits The pay range provided by JHU APL is $85,000.00 to $155,000.00 per year. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience. See recruiter for details. Minimum Rate $85,000 Annually; Maximum Rate $155,000 Annually.
