Overview
The Stellantis Customer Experience Organization is seeking a Powertrain Warranty & Reliability Specialist to join the Quality team at the Stellantis Quality Engineering Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Powertrain Warranty & Reliability Specialist is responsible to manage and facilitate onsite quality analysis reviews with Suppliers and/or internal Powertrain Plants as well as Supplier Quality (SQD). They will identify new emerging field issues by analyzing warranty returned material and data to understand failure modes and effects, and monitor corrective actions identified through the analysis process while supporting Warranty Recovery needs. Responsibilities
• Manage and facilitate onsite quality analysis reviews with Suppliers and/or internal Powertrain Plants and Supplier Quality (SQD). • Identify new emerging field issues by analyzing warranty returned material and data to understand failure modes and effects. • Identify and monitor corrective actions resulting from analysis, and support Warranty Recovery needs. • Develop and execute standardization of manufacturing quality enablers; lead cross-functional teams; present strong teamwork and communication skills. • Lead and influence through collaboration with internal and external partners, including leadership levels. • Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to platform teams and translate ideas into actions that deliver results. • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned UAW personnel and ensure quality objectives are met. • Demonstrate integrity, high-energy, and a hands-on leadership style to drive quality improvements. Powertrain Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality Experience Working knowledge of Transmission and Driveline operations Manage all part return material activities for the Powertrain area to ensure returned material is utilized to assist with Corporate Quality initiatives and Warranty Recovery Review supplier testing procedures to ensure evaluations of material is accurate Utilize corporate data reporting systems to capture quality spills and to ensure clean points are in place Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and translate ideas into actions that deliver results Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment Manage day-to-day activities of assigned UAW personnel Possess strong communication & presentation skills Self-motivated and willing to challenge teams on all aspects of quality Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or a related technical degree (Business Technical or dual degree is acceptable, e.g., Major in BA with a minor in Automotive/Technology or Engineering Technology) 5+ years experience in automotive (quality/service/engineering) Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization Self-directed and team oriented with demonstrated planning/problem solving skills Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Experience within a union environment Preferred Qualifications
High PowerPoint presentation skills Experience with Parts Return Analysis System Plus (PRAS+) Experience with Global Issue Management System (GIMs) Experience within a union environment Working knowledge of STLA data systems Must have good technical and analytical problem solving skills Knowledge of data analytics tools (Quantic/Palantir) Green Belt/Black Belt certification Benefits
