Work with C++ based simulations of the AARGM family of missiles and integrate these simulations with other applications. Verify weapon system requirements using physics-based models and simulations; update and maintain models written in C++. Assist in verifying and updating physics-based models, support CI/CD pipelines and build processes, and own miscellaneous deliveries. Collaborate with GNC and sensor algorithms and models; develop weapon system requirements verifications and verification scenarios. Analyze results using MATLAB or Python tools; debug issues in C++ source code related to modeling and simulation. Conduct extensive testing of simulations to verify suitability for weapon systems requirements verification; participate in either software-centric or analysis-centric tasks as needed. Basic Qualifications
BS degree in aerospace engineering, physics, or related field with 12 years of experience, or MS degree with 10 years of experience. Significant experience developing or troubleshooting C or C++ applications on Windows, and preferably Linux. Significant experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis. Experience developing requirements, verification methods, executing verifications, and documenting results. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deliverables. Experience in functional, technical, or product owner leadership (formal or informal). Experience in 6-DOF simulations, MBSE/SYSML, requirements development, GNC, or sensors. Ability to obtain an interim secret clearance, and eligibility for SAP clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 6-DOF simulations or guidance, navigation and control algorithms for airborne platforms. Experience running Monte Carlo simulations. Experience with HPC systems and hardware-in-the-loop Familiar with Git, Makefiles, CMake, and distributed simulation protocols such as DIS or HLA. Mathematical background in linear algebra and differential equations. Experience using simulations to verify weapon systems and budgeting/scheduling in agile environments. Experience with SysML (CAMEO), AJEM or lethality modeling tools, and AFSIM. Location
Northridge, CA Compensation & Benefits
Primary salary range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00. The salary range is a guideline; base offers consider scope, experience, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives where applicable.
