Overview The

MRO Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. In coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, this role will be responsible for planning and scheduling the maintenance activities of the CFA Supply maintenance team at the Distribution Center (DC) in Elsmere, KY.

Additionally, the role will be responsible for operating the spare parts cage, ordering parts, receiving, and disbursing parts, and maintaining appropriate spare parts inventory levels, so that downtime is minimized when maintenance is required.

Responsibilities Maintenance Scheduling Responsibilities

Prepare and update the maintenance activities, plans and schedules.

Determine the maintenance activities and their priorities.

Assign work orders to the maintenance team, track status/closure of work orders and monitor utilization of maintenance team.

Ensure maintenance activities are properly planned and executed, taking in consideration the production schedule and resources available.

Coordinate activities with the operations team and other personnel performing maintenance at the site.

Help establish criteria for a hierarchy of when different types of problems must be addressed (i.e., priority matrix).

Enter scheduling/work order information into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Monitor the effectiveness of the maintenance plan/schedule.

MRO Planning Responsibilities

Operate spare parts cage and maintain spare parts inventory.

Identify spare parts inventory demand, establish min/max levels and order/receive spare parts.

Ensure adequate spare parts are on hand and accurately captured in CMMS.

Maintain listing of suppliers and contact information.

Ensure incoming orders are accurate; reconcile parts ordered to parts received.

Review/approve spare part invoices.

Disburse spare parts (including kitting parts) for work to be performed.

Maintain spare parts cage in an organized/orderly manner and ensure parts are safeguarded.

Ensure warranty information is setup within CMMS upon initial contract establishment; maintain equipment in accordance with warranty agreement including use of spare parts.

Perform cycle counts, or inventory counts on a predefined regular basis.

Identify obsolete inventory and dispose of it properly.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma.

3+ years of maintenance planning/scheduling and inventory management experience within food manufacturing and distribution operations or similar operations.

Prior experience using CMMS.

Detailed understanding of effective scheduling, estimating, and workflow processes in a maintenance environment.

Ability to plan and schedule work and maintain accurate inventory records.

Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet also able to work independently when necessary.

Good written/verbal communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.

Availability for on-call support and shift flexibility, as needed.

Ability to anticipate needs and plan accordingly.

Availability to support multiple shifts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.

Travel: 10% (as required).

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance planning/scheduling and inventory management experience within food manufacturing and distribution operations or similar operations.

Associate degree or equivalent work experience; certified maintenance technician.

Prior experience in procurement.

Knowledge of leading practices in maintenance planning/scheduling and spare parts inventory management.
