As a Professional Engineer for the Structural Assessment practice at Consor, you will be responsible for leading inspections in the field to protect the traveling public. You will use various access methods for these inspections to gain visual access and take appropriate pictures to update the previous report and collect any concerning data. These structures will include mostly bridges; but also tunnels, culverts, ancillary signs, and any potential structure to ensure public safety. You will have a good balance between field and office work, which will include creating and reviewing reports delivered to our clients to help keep these structures in use. You may also be involved in scheduling inspections, client interactions, load ratings, and rehabilitation design, depending on your skills and interests. If you prefer variety and dislike being confined to a desk every day, this is the engineering role for you. What You'll Do:

Inspect assigned bridges and prepare written reports on their conditions. Conduct and lead in-depth inspections using non-destructive testing methods, mechanized access equipment, and climbing gear. Perform post-incident bridge inspections to assess damage severity and recommend appropriate actions regarding closures and detours. Coordinate with bridge owners and agencies on inspection schedules, traffic control, railroad access, navigational channels, etc. Lead teams in Structural Assessment, providing instructions, assigning and reviewing work, coaching, training, and offering guidance on efficient methods. Also, provide input on staffing and performance management. What You'll Need:

Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline. Professional Engineering (PE) license. Leadership experience, good communication skills, and ability to maintain professional relationships. Knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures. Experience with report procedures. Experience with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) as a bridge inspection assistant and being Team Leader qualified with NHI is preferred. Ability to perform field inspections using various access methods. ADCI Diver certification or SPRAT level 1 or higher is a plus, depending on contract involvement. What Benefits You’ll Enjoy:

We invest in our team members who go above and beyond to serve our communities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Career growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement, paid professional training, license bonuses, on-demand learning, and memberships. Work-life balance with PTO, holidays, flexible schedules, parental leave, and hybrid/remote options. Health benefits like medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, and HSA/FSA options. Employer-paid STD, LTD, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match. Community engagement through social events and volunteering. Career Growth:
