Overview
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to support the Pain and Spine team onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Clinic/Practice Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to administrative support, these Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience, exceeding our patients' expectations. Responsibilities
Coordinators schedule all appointments, conduct reminder outreach, verify insurance, and obtain Prior Authorizations when needed before the patient visit. During the patient visit, tasks include check-in: greeting patients, answering questions, collecting co-pays, and assisting with pre-visit paperwork/forms. At the conclusion of the visit, schedule follow-up appointments, tests, and/or procedures during check-out. Field all incoming telephone calls and triage appropriately, handle in-basket messages, monitor patient flow and waiting room activity. Provide general support to practice leadership, clinicians, and peers. Education

Strong technology and MS Office skills — Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of office operations and standards; understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing. Ability to use phone system and manage non-routine calls and solve routine issues as appropriate. Effective written communication for the needs of the audience; ability to convey information clearly (including composing/editing e-mails, memos, and letters); ability to take complete and accurate messages. Time management and ability to manage own time and the time of others. Well organized with good time management to manage multiple tasks, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
