The Seppic Inc., Richmond (formerly Polykon Manufacturing) site, opened in 2020, is located near Richmond, Virginia, USA. The plant specializes in producing ingredients for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. The E&I Engineer will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of the plant's electrical and instrumentation systems.

This role requires a strong understanding of industrial controls, power distribution, and process instrumentation, with a focus on ensuring plant safety, reliability, and efficiency. Design & Engineering: Develop and design electrical and instrumentation systems for new projects and plant modifications. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for complex issues related to plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Project Management: Lead and execute E&I and Automation related capital projects from conception through commissioning. Maintenance & Reliability: Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for E&I equipment to improve reliability and reduce downtime. System Upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades of aging control systems, field instruments, and electrical components. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety protocols and regulations. Cybersecurity: Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices within the OT environment. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all electrical schematics, instrument datasheets, control narratives, network diagrams, system architecture drawings, and SOP’s. Are you a MATCH? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience as an E&I or Controls Engineer in a chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, or other industrial manufacturing environment. Proven experience with PLC programming from major vendors and DCS systems. Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control loop tuning. Familiarity with electrical power distribution systems, VFDs, and motor control centers (MCCs). Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards. Experience with SCADA and HMI platforms. Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols. Strong sense of ownership for assigned area and takes immediate action to correct issues as they arise. Driven to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
