Overview
Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Office Assistant) - NHMP Danbury Psychiatry at Nuvance Health. Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Responsibilities
Ensures accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance. Performs reception of customers and communicates pleasantly and effectively. Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, conveys information, and ensures accurate communication. Registers, verifies and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals. Reschedules cancelled, no-show, tickler appointments. Processes record requests, including copying, billing, charging and recording. Collects co-pays and reconciles monies for deposit. Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients. Completes audits as assigned. Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation and correspondence via eFax. Presents a professional appearance and image. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma/GED. New or experienced graduate of Medical Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant training program, or EMT certification, or 3 years job related experience in a medical office. Basic medical knowledge and terminology. Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vital signs. Minimum Experience:
one year Desired:
CPR certification preferred. Bi-lingual preferred. Pay Rate:
$17.72 - $33.48 (Pay per years of relative experience) EOE, including disability/vets.
