Work Control Team Lead (Maintenance Manager 3) at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The role manages the maintenance work control center within LANL and reports to the Maintenance Manager in each area of the lab. What You Will Do

Work Control is a multidisciplinary group providing deployed support to all Facility Operations Directorates (FODs) for maintenance planning, scheduling, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) support. The MSS-Work Control group uses Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner. The Work Control Team Lead (WCTL) is responsible for managing the maintenance work control center within LANL. Key responsibilities include: Increase organizational efficiencies and productivity through improved teamwork and integration of the Maintenance Site Services, Engineering Services, and Facility Operations departments. Provide functional and operational direction to Work Control Planners, Maintenance Support Specialists, and Schedulers including all management and oversight functions. Oversee the preparation, review, and issue of equipment and/or system modifications, corrective maintenance, and/or preventative maintenance work packages in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations. Review changes in scope to active work packages and oversee the revision of the work package if the scope change is determined to be major. Track and expedite established priority of work packages. Manage various functional and administrative activities in conjunction with the primary work control/work package development including, but not limited to, permit development, testing requirements, documentation generation, records management, database information management, retrieval and review, and/or training. Provide input for budgets reviews applicable segment of budgets in relation to work control planning objectives to ensure cost effectiveness. Establish and enforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, corrective actions, and appropriate work behaviors. What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements : Maintenance Operations:

Extensive knowledge of work planning and scheduling processes. Thorough knowledge of plant operating practices and procedures. Facility Management:

Extensive experience with facility management including systems engineering design and maintenance, configuration management programs, work control, facility control systems, major construction projects, and upgrades and renovations. Extensive understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures. Technology:

Demonstrated expertise with a computerized work management system such as Asset Suites, SAP, Maximo etc. Problem Solving & Decision Making:

Demonstrated experience and skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining actions to be performed on problems affecting the maintenance program. Leadership:

Ability to challenge individuals to develop skill outside of their comfort zone. Identify and develop successors to key roles. Experience dealing directly with internal discipline to resolve problems and provide solutions. Communication:

Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form. Education/Experience:

Position requires a Bachelor\'s Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Desired Qualifications : Full understanding of the Laboratory\'s work control and facility policies, practices, and procedures. Active Q clearance Work Location & Commitment
