The Department of Radiology of the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a fulltime radiologist. Primary job duties will include interpreting diagnostic imaging in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at a quaternary care center which serves both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of a fellowship specializing in abdominal or chest imaging is strongly preferred. A desire to provide high quality clinical care is the chief requirement. Both clinically focused and academic track applicants will be considered. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities

Interpreting diagnostic imaging in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at a quaternary care center serving both inpatients and outpatients. Provide high-quality clinical care as a core requirement for this position. Academic track applicants may pursue scholarship in research or education; academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate\'s area of specialty/research expertise. Qualifications

MD or equivalent degree; eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota; board certified or board eligible status; completion of ACGME accredited radiology training. For academic track applicants, evidence of scholarship in research or education is needed. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate\'s area of specialty/research expertise. Academic faculty should be active in national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty. Pay and Benefits

This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
