Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and competency in the application of case management standards of practice.

Use advanced knowledge of injury types, medications, comorbidities, treatment options, and job duties to advise on a treatment plan.

Interview disabled persons to assess recovery and determine occupational vs. non-occupational factors.

Collaborate with treating physicians/providers and use available resources to create and implement individualized treatment plans.

Work with employers and physicians to modify job duties where practical to facilitate early return to work.

Evaluate and modify case goals based on patient improvement and treatment effectiveness.

Independently manage workload, prioritize cases, and determine effective case management approaches.

Attend injured worker appointments when appropriate, prepare status updates for customers, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field.

Experience: 2+ years of clinical practice preferred; workers’ compensation-related experience preferred.

Skills: Ability to advocate effectively with physicians/providers, employers, and customers; ability to work independently; basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); strong written communication.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required and in good standing.

URAC-recognized certification in case management (CCM, CDMS, CRC, CRRN or COHN, COHN-S, RN-BC, ACM, CMAC, CMC).

Travel: Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to in-person appointments in the assigned geography.

Internet: Must have reliable internet.

Eligibility may differ by full-time vs part-time status. Compensation ranges from $95,000 - $105,000 annually, plus a productivity-based bonus program. Total compensation depends on skills, experience, education, and performance metrics.
