Clinical Director II

for

Peri-Operative Services . This leadership role is responsible for managing the overall nursing operations and clinical services within the Peri-Operative units. The Clinical Director II will provide strategic direction and operational oversight by developing, planning, organizing, and evaluating systems, services, and staff through subordinate managers and supervisors. The position ensures adherence to county, state, and federal guidelines by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols while also recommending improvements to support best practices in patient care. The role is also responsible for maintaining excellence in nursing standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading the preparation of survey responses, corrective action plans, and ongoing survey readiness efforts. ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER is located on a 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles). ARMC is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university-affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. ARMC operates five community-based primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. Candidates must possess

of the following: License:

Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Certification:

Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS). Degree:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, business or healthcare administration or other closely related field. Experience:

Four (4) years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital, with at least two (2) years in a Peri-Operative Services unit (Operating Room, PACU, or Same Day Surgery). One (1) year must be as a nurse manager or two (2) years as a full-scope supervisor over professional nursing staff. Supervisory duties must include hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, counseling, and daily operational oversight. Experience may be concurrent. Distinguish clearly in work history between supervisor or manager roles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Peri-Operative Services Nurse Manager in a large acute care teaching hospital and a Master’s degree in nursing, business, or healthcare administration. Experience with budget assessment, recommendation, and reconciliation, and proficiency in PDCA or other process improvement methodologies is desired. Leadership certifications such as Lean Six Sigma and NEA-BC are highly desirable. Application Procedure
