As an integral part of the UAMS Cardiovascular Service Line, the APRN or PA works collaboratively with the physicians to ensure continuity of care to cardiovascular patients. The APRN/PA helps plan, implement, and evaluate health care treatments. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: APRNs: Master's Degree in Nursing Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Certification 3 years of nursing experience Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN license Prescriptive authority and a DEA license must be obtained after hire PAs: Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Certification through NCCPA Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire Responsibilities
Gathers information systematically from all sources for new and established patients, including history, diagnostic tests, physical examinations, and psychosocial assessments. Identifies patient/family long-term and short-term physical, psychosocial, educational, and cultural needs. Provides ongoing and follow-up care, and patient and family education. Interprets health assessment data and applies findings to directing patient care. Plans long- and short-term care including pharmacologic and diagnostic treatments as needed. Prioritizes patient/family needs to optimize health outcomes. Documents health data and plan of care according to policy; communicates with the care team as appropriate. Evaluates patient/family response to the plan of care and follows up accordingly. Documents outcomes and revises the plan to achieve health goals. Completes billing forms (ICD-10, CPT) in accordance with laws and policy. Collaborates with referring physicians, allied health providers, and hospital staff. Salary Information
